That is the best rotation in baseball...probably by a distance. I wonder if they trade Buchholz for a bat? Still need a 3rdbaseman and left fielder (Bay not coming back)

Pretty sure Wakefield fits in there somewhere. That should mean Bucholz is traded for a bat.

The Halladay deal will see Doc go to the Phillies for 3 prospects including Kyle Drabek. In order to free some payroll, the Phillies will send Cliff Lee to Seattle for 3 prospects. It seems as though the Blue Jays are also sending some cash to Phillies to cover part of Doc's salary in 2010. I hope that aint the case as he's a bargain at $15 million.

It hinges on Doc signing a contract extension. Something like 3 years at $20million per year is being talked about. The Phillies were doubtful they'd be able to sign Cliff Lee to an extension so rather than lose him, they'd bring in Doc and send Lee to the Mariners. Cliff Lee doesn't have a no trade clause.

Very, very similar. I would imagine Lackey to be the ace and Lester to be the number 3. Would that be right? If thats the case, and i match them up man for man, i cant really separate them too much. However, the Yanks have better bats, end of story. The Red Sox need to spend some money on power! :smug:
