What have you got in return, a centre-fielder who has batted .245 since his breakout season. I don't know that for sure but i read it on other sites. If thats the case, i think the price may be too steep.

Sure you can sign another lefty reliever, sure you have Phil and Joba and won the world series without either Kennedy or Jackson. However, is the guy you are getting back any better than what Jackson could have been?

The thing with Jackson is he would not be ready this year. Maybe next. We get a guy in with the right kind of pop for Yankee stadium. I am dissapointed in losing Kennedy but we have plenty RHP in the farm. As for Coke he was used as a lefty specialist but the way Marte came back last year eases that loss. Granderson needs to work hard on facing lefties but he is 28 and an excellent defensive CF. If Damon accepts a Bobby Abreu type deal then our line up is looking pretty good for next year. Just the rotation to sort out now!!
