Quite surprised at Boston with this, as you say his offence numbers were poor.

What about taking a gamble on LaDuca? I appreciate he is past his best & although I don't now what kind of money Varitek is on surely LaDuca would have been cheaper.

Man that guy always had me on the edge of my seat when he was with the A's... :rolleyes: (But he does call a mean game...apparently)
